Consumers have spoken, and they want rules!

Rules that have protected the European flying public for 18 years are currently under threat. The European Commission has proposed a far-reaching reform of the European Code of Conduct for Computerised Reservations Systems (CRSs) - a Code which governs the vast majority of airline bookings in Europe and helps keep the airfares low.

The European Consumers' Organisation, the International Airline Passengers Association, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, and dozens of other groups, including the United Nations, support the continued application of Europe's core CRS rules.

The Coalition for Fair Access to Reservations in Europe (C-FARE) has been leading the charge for the retention of core consumer protections so long as a CRS is owned or controlled by major airlines.
